Beach Fun | ♥
Thursday (14th August 2014) was results day for us A-levelers. I always dread this day as it reminds me of how I'm in no way smart whatsoever. Last year was an "it's okay, I've got another year to improve" kind of year, whereas this year was more "I either resit the year, or I have to start thinking of a future", and to be honest, I didn't want to do either of those options, and I still don't.
A week before results day, we were trying to figure out what to do after to 'celebrate', or drown our sorrows.
As we're not the kind of people that enjoy going clubbing (apart from joe), it was either the pub or something else. So we decided on Brighton, where we could sit on the beach in the sun, top up our tans, have a few drinks, walk along the pier and just have a nice time. Although, in this case, it was more 'sit on the beach in the wind and rain, definitely not tipping up our already non-existent tans'.
Of course I had to take my camera, and this time I even bought a disposable one for this occasion too oooo fancy!
Hope you enjoyed!

To start of our day, we went onto the pier, had a look in the amusements and headed to the noodles shop to get our lunch. Just thinking about the noodles are making me hungry as I write this, they were so lovely mmm *heart eyes emoji*. After sitting on the pier eating our noodles (whilst protecting them from the seagulls that like to attack) we then headed to the beach to have a sit down and a drink. As it was windy and sort of rainy, we just sat there with our coats done up trying to stop our hair from blowing away in the wind. It was nice just to chill and not have to worry about results anymore. We then went for a paddle, although it was short-lived for me as the stones were so painful on my feet, I couldn't cope with the pain.
We then decided to head back to the pier (much to Harriet's disgust after she fell asleep on Charley) to have a go on the amusements and to waste loads of money that we didn't have. I'm really bad when I go to the amusements as once I start, I cannot stop. There was an ADORABLE baby Oleg toy in the grabber machines and I wanted it soooo badly, I wasted so much money trying to win it.. but never did. I ended up winning a cheap key ring from the 2p machines, along with loads of 2ps, wheres Charley goes and wins a whopping £6 on an extremely tense game. Then there was Sarah, who decided to put one 10p that she found on the floor into a machine, this machine however was being fixed a few minutes before, and when she put the 10p in, we realised it wasn't very fixed. She ended up winning over £4 in 10ps and kindly shared it with me and Rachel seeing as we'd lost the other three.
Once we'd met up with the others, we sat/stood on the pier (which was awful for me as I hate piers with a passion, and just standing there makes me feels sick) and as we waited for a bit.. a girl dropped her iPhone 5 and it went down the crack. LUCKILY, it didn't go all the way down, and was stuck on something, so they had to get someone to climb under the pier to get it again... at this point I felt so sick and scared I just wanted to leave. ugh.
It was then time for dinner, we headed off to Spoons for some food and a drink. I enjoyed a lovely 'Sex on the Beach' cocktail, a whole pitcher to myself, mmm.
As we had some time after dinner before our train departed, we decided to go back to the seafront and ended up taking some pictures and watching the sun set.
We then went back to the pier for one last time to empty our bladders and Rachel, Sarah and myself also enjoyed a doughnut, yummy!
