Another trip to London | ♥

On Tuesday the 12th of August, myself, Rachel and Joe took another trip to London. This time, our main plan was to meet Nick Grimshaw at Radio 1 as Rachel is completely in love with him, so we got up pretty early and made our way to Oxford Circus to see if we could see him. We set ourselves a time limit, as when we'd arrived we didn't know if he'd have gone or not, so we said that we'd leave at 10:30 if we don't see him. By the time it was 10:29 we still hadn't seen him, until LUCKILY, he walked out at 10:30, just seconds before we were going to leave.
Grimmy is such a lovely man, he had a chat to Rachel about work experience and work and took time out of his phone call to have pictures with us :)

After meeting Grimmy, we then had a look in a few shops on Oxford Street, then got the tube back to Waterloo. 
Once we arrived at Waterloo, that's when I became a photographer/tourists, even though I spend a lot of my life at Southbank, I love taking pictures whenever I'm there. This time we walked down to get closer to The Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, as I haven't been that close to it to take pictures of it for a long time. After doing that, we then walked back along Southbank and I took some pictures of whatever I could.
Rachel had a plan that we'd walk down to London Bridge, and me and Joe both agreed to doing this, but it turns out that London Bridge takes a little bit of time to walk to... we had to have a few breaks but we finally made it. (my feet ached so badly by the time we got there, I don't know how I carried on for the rest of the day).
We then got the tube to Charing Cross so we could get some lunch and go to Trafalgar Square. Finally, we walked down The Mall to Buckingham Palace. On this walk we managed to walk past Kingsland Road, without clicking who they were until they'd passed by, and also we got to see the changing of the Guards, which excited me as I'd never seen this happen before. I've realised that the Guards are actually quite scary and their foot slams must hurt them. 
Overall, I had a lovely day, but my feet definitely paid for it when I'd got home.

Today I went to Brighton for a day trip with the school, I mean, a free trip to Brighton for year 12 students, why not? Anyway, me and my chums had a fab time in the sun. We went for a quick shop, down to the beach and to the pier to get some fish and chips, for a look on the pier and in the arcade, and then back to the beach for a relaxing sunbathe.  Some of my pictures that I took from this trip. Magazine Shoot

These three images I have taken were from my final shoot for my photography project. I had to create a front page of a magazine focusing on beauty or fashion. I went more for the beauty look as I enjoy using make up and trying different styles out on different people. For this shoot, I went for a golden/black look, as I wanted it to look quite glamorous and pretty as I was relating back to a Harper's Bazaar cover.  Out of all the images I took, I picked four to manipulate and put into my book, and these are three of them. I decided that the other didn't look as nice and was a bit strange looking, so I've left that one out :) I'm really happy with these images to be honest, and the two I decided to use for my final pieces were the first two, one with my model's eyes open and the other with them close, just to spice it up a bit! :) :) xx

Golden Globes 2014

One of my favourite things about award ceremonies are the outfits, looking at each celebrity and what they're wearing. There are some beautiful dresses worn, and some not so beautiful dresses worn, and there are also some very handsome men in suits. Whilst looking through different pictures from the 2014 Golden Globes, I decided to pick out my favourite outfits that I saw on both the women and the men.  Here are my seven favourite outfits worn by the women of the Golden Globes: Taylor Swift - Carolina Herrera I love the colours of this dress, the pink and black work really well together and I feel that these colours also work well with the skin tone of Taylor. The trail that the dress has gives it that extra bit of elegance and it looks super nice.  Amy Adams - Valentino I love, love, love this dress.
