Golden Globes 2014

One of my favourite things about award ceremonies are the outfits, looking at each celebrity and what they're wearing. There are some beautiful dresses worn, and some not so beautiful dresses worn, and there are also some very handsome men in suits. Whilst looking through different pictures from the 2014 Golden Globes, I decided to pick out my favourite outfits that I saw on both the women and the men.
Here are my seven favourite outfits worn by the women of the Golden Globes:
Taylor Swift - Carolina Herrera
I love the colours of this dress, the pink and black work really well together and I feel that
these colours also work well with the skin tone of Taylor. The trail that the dress has gives
it that extra bit of elegance and it looks super nice.
Amy Adams - Valentino
I love, love, love this dress. I'm a big fan of a chiffon dress and this is just gorgeous. The lighter red at the bottom of the dress with the darker red at the top of the dress I feel works really well together and stands out from the skin of Amy. I really like the upper part to the dress, how it goes round the neck and the slight cleavage that can be seen just looks stunning. This is a personal favourite of mine indeed.
Julianna Margulies - Andrew Gn
On some websites I've looked at, this dress has been getting slated quite a bit, but personally, I think it looks really lovely. The golden design on the bottom of the dress and on the shoulders work really well with the black dress and makes it looks rather elegant. I also love the style of the dress, the plunging neck line shows a bit of cleavage, but not so much that everything's hanging out. I love this glamorous dress.
Kaley Cuoco - Rani Zakhem Couture
This is another dress that hasn't been getting a lot of love from different websites, but there's something about it that makes me love it. I love the style of the dress, although it looks slightly low down up the top, but if it was pulled up a little bit more it would look nicer, in my opinion. The pattern on the dress is quite different, but is still rather beautiful in a strange kind of way. My favourite thing about this dress is the style, beautiful.
Mila Kunis - Gucci
Another chiffon style that I love, the bottom half of the dress is definitely my favourite! The way the dress hangs and drapes on the floor really makes her look beautiful and exquisite. I've got a bit of a mixed opinion on the top half of the dress though, I do like the style of it but I'm not too sure on the big flowers that go round the neck line, maybe if they were a bit smaller or if they kept it simple with just the sequined look up there. But, overall this glittering look is still a fave.
Monica Potter - Romona Keveza
I love a long dress that flows at the bottoms, and this is one of my favourites, although I would've preferred it if the bottom was maybe a little bit more like a chiffon dress, but it still looks like a beautiful ball gown. The gold, glittery top half is so beautiful and the way it stops and just goes into a plain black bottom half works so well because the two colours work perfectly together to create a grand looking dress. Very classy.
Olivia Wilde - Gucci
Finally, I am finishing off my favourite female looks with the beautiful Olivia Wilde. This is quite a different style to the others I have chosen, as they've all been flowing dresses, whereas this one's a simple, sleek dress that is ever so slightly flowing at the bottom. I have chosen this as a favourite because of how good Olivia looks in it, she's definitely rocking the pregnant look, and choosing a dress like this could've been slightly risky, but I  think she's definitely pulled it off amazingly. I love the green colour and the sparkles on the dress, it really does look beautiful.
Next up, I've chosen five styles from the males of the Golden Globes, what I noticed from them all was that bow-ties is very in right now! Here they are:

Usher
I love this burgundy suit, it's a nice and different colour to wear than the usual black. I like the shirt underneath the suit jacket as I feel the colours work well together, and the done up suit jacket makes it look even better. This is the first of the bow-tie looks, and the slight pattern that is on this one really does look good with the rest of the outfit.
Chris Pine - Ermenegildo Zegna Couture
The word I have to describe this look is 'simple', but in a very good way. It's a simple black suit with a white shirt and a black bow-tie, but it still looks very handsome and lovely to look at. Sometimes I feel that a simple look works better than a crazy, different look.
Bradley Cooper
Again, another simple look here, but Bradley Cooper definitely makes this look a lot better than it should do, he pulls it off so well. Who wouldn't want to look at this handsome man in a suit?
Michael Fassbender
I had to add Fassbender to my favourite outfits even though it's again quite simple and the trousers are a bit baggy. He makes it look a lot better with that beautiful face of his, even with his ginger beard. I love the style of the shirt underneath, the buttons work well with the bow-tie and the suit jacket, and the glasses he's wearing gives it a bit of an edge.
Chris Hemsworth
What I love about Chris' look is the royal blue, velvet suit jacket he is wearing, it's something that's completely different to others I have see. Some may not like this style of jacket but I feel that Chris really does pull it off rather well, and again, the bow-tie. And pregnant Elsa Pataky also looking stunning alongside Chris.
So they're my favourite outfits from the 2014 Golden Globes, it's the first review I've ever done on outfits I like, so they're a bit poop, but, worth a shot.
