Very.co.uk Tanya Burr edit launch | ♥

Very.co.uk were running a competition via The Blogger Programme, where you had to create a blogpost that explained your favourite beauty products that are available on the Very website. (That blog post is here I was going to delete it but hey ho, why not keep the winning piece?) I then had to explain why I'd like to meet Tanya Burr (which is also in that post, WARNING: contains extremely cringy words from me!!). Baring in mind I finished this at night, I was pretty darn chuffed that I won. I didn't mean to finish it so late but I'd only just found out about it.
Anyway, I won - probably the first important thing ever!

Me and Rachel didn't know what to expect when we arrived to this event, as it was pretty obvious that we weren't proper bloggers and weren't in the press etc. we were just two girls who are fans of Tanya!
The whole experience was so different for us, from walking into the very expensive looking hotel, to seeing all of the new items of clothing and meeting different people, we were very much out of of our comfort zones!

After I explained that I was a competition winner, we got shown into the room - which was a lot smaller than we expected - and were able to start looking around at the clothes.
As well as the clothing, there were people painting nails and others braiding hair, and there was even a photo booth for people to enjoy.
As soon as we started looking through the clothes, we were offered some drinks, I decided to go for the vodka based drink which I ended up regretting, it was way too strong and had fruit at the bottom (I'm very picky with cocktails), but my coke was lovely. Rachel stuck to the diet coke as she's not the alcoholic type.
I don't think there was a piece of clothing that I didn't like, my favourite section was the pastel looking one as I'm SO in love with pastel colours (especially purple *heart eyes emoji*). Also Tanya's edit of the collection was so beautiful, I wanted to take it all home with me (but I couldn't :(). There was this beautiful white dress (here) that I fell in love with, it just looks so amazing and pretty!

We then went over to Jim and Tanya, where Rachel started the conversation because I'm the worst person to introduce myself to people. Jim was sooooo nice to us, had a conversation with us and was just so lovely, we got a picture with him before we'd spoken to Tanya because she was off having photos taken of her and interviews done! We also met Dom who very kindly took the photographs of us and Jim (and Tanya when I get there). When Tanya was free, Jim explained that I was a competition winner and she was so lovely having a conversation with us. We then got a photograph with her, and she is such a beautiful woman and is so polite to everyone!
Myself with Jim, Tanya, Ruth & Dom :)
We then thought it was a good idea to try out the photo-booth, because why not? it's there, it's free and it's so much fun! After we did this, I mentioned to Rachel about asking if Jim and Tanya would come in with us (as we knew it'd make all our chums a tiny bit jealous hehe).
Before we did this, Rachel went and tried the clothes that she wanted to take home with her on, and I decided to go and take advantage of the free nail services, and got my nails done. I have never been so desperate for someone to do my nails for me, as they are driving me crazy. I can't apply the polish right and they just chip straight away, it got so bad that I resorted to fake nails and in the end just gave up and left them plain (exciting).

Getting my nails did (look at my pale arms wow)
Guess what....? I chipped and smudged my nails within about 5 minutes, amazing.. could be a record.

We then decided it was time to ask Jim and Tanya if they'd join us in the photo-booth... well, Rachel had to ask. Thankfully they agreed and I think that was so nice of them, to take time out of what they were doing to come and join us. Here are our photo-booth pictures:

To end the exciting time we had, we were asked to film something for someone (god knows what we agreed to do!). Rachel went first, saying where she was and what her favourite piece was, and I tried so hard to get out of it, but Rachel wouldn't let me :( so up I went, me and filming do not get on, I get so embarrassed and awkward it's ridiculous, then I ended up copying everything Rachel said... I PRAY they don't use that anywhere!

Look at that professional!
But before we left, we met Ruth Crilly which was nice as she was so sweet!

The exciting cupcakes that were provided

Overall, myself and Rachel had a fabulous day and enjoyed meeting Tanya and Jim, we also enjoyed the free goodies we received wooooo!
