Fashion Shoot☺

I've been so bad at posting recently, not that anyone looks at my blog. Anyway I've been so busy with the new photography unit we're doing in sixth form and every other piece of work that I've been given in every subject that it's been a stressful few weeks, but I felt I should share some of my recent photography work, so here we are:

This image has been manipulated on photoshop by using the auto colour tool and then increasing the contrast, this has just brightened the image a little bit more, and has made the colours look more natural and happy, as it was taken on a grey day, the image before hand looked a bit sombré.

To create this image, I have selected my model and increased the brightness and the contrast of her, making her look brighter and allowing her to stand out more, and then I selected the inverse and made the rest of the image black and white, allowing her to stand out fully. I feel this creates quite an interesting effect, showing that she's the most important person in the image.

This next image has been edited by increasing the vibrance, saturation and also the contrast. By doing this, it has made the image so much more brighter than it was beforehand, it also makes the make up stand out better.

Finally, this last image (my fave) has been created by firstly; selecting the lips of my model and then increasing the vibrance, which adds more colours and makes them look like there's a lot more lipstick on them, I then auto coloured the image and finally fiddled around with the levels to creates the contrasted/moody effect. I really like this because the contrast makes it look golden which relates to the fact that I wanted it to look quite glamorous, and feel it succeeded.
We've been doing a lot of studio photography and fashion photography for this unit, which I enjoy because it allows me to do some make up and practice those skills as well as taking photographs. I can tell the model what to do to create the perfect image or let her do what feels best, this creates quite a fun shoot. The four images above have all been manipulated on photoshop in different ways, as I was trying out different techniques to see which ones look best, although I'm struggling to think of more effective photoshop manipulations I can complete as I feel that I'm becoming a bit samey and all of my images are starting to look typical and boring. This is the first kind of fashion photography I have ever done, so looking at photographers such as: Rankin, Mario Testino and many others, as well as looking at different magazine shoots from magazines such as: Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Elle etc. has helped me to create an image in my mind and then take that image to create the perfect overall piece. I know these four images aren't the best, but as they're from my first shoot, I wanted to show what I had completed. My favourite from this selection is the final image, as I like the high contrast and golden effect that has been portrayed.
Hopefully I will be putting many more images on here and keeping up to date a bit more, but in the meantime, goodbye :)

xx
